**Job Description**:
Job Title: FLT/Despatch
Location: Pershore
Hours: 07:30 - 16:00, Monday - Thursday, 07:30 - 13:00 on Fridays
Pay: £11.80 per hour
Contract: Temporary, Ongoing
Job Summary:
As an FLT Counterbalance/Despatch worker, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and distribution of goods within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be operating a counterbalance forklift to load and unload materials, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched to meet customer requirements. This is a temporary, ongoing position with the opportunity to contribute to the smooth flow of operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move and transport materials, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety guidelines and protocols.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are securely placed and stacked to prevent damage during transportation.
Utilize shipping software and documentation to verify and record outgoing shipments, including quantities, weights, and destinations.
Follow inventory control procedures to track and manage stock levels.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid FLT Counterbalance license is required.
Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Basic computer skills to input and retrieve shipping information using shipping software.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information clearly.
Physical stamina and ability to lift, move, and carry heavy materials.
Flexibility to work the specified hours, including early mornings and occasional overtime.
