**Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Middle Office & Settlements Analyst - Fixed Income in the London office.**

**Main responsibilities within the Middle Office & Settlements Analyst - Fixed Income position include**:

- End to End Fixed Income settlements support for Euroclear and international domestic markets
- Internal Vs. Client/CSD reconciliation
- Fails management - Avoidance and appropriate escalations
- Securities holding support (Partials and Nett-offs)
- Buy-in support and avoidance (Buy-in execution based on ICMA or FINRA rules)
- Monitoring of all Exception management processes
- Internal and external client liaison(Front office, Clients and service agents)
- Pre Matching support
- New Business support
- Maintain appropriate static data within internal management systems
- Settlements advice for both front and back office as required
- Assist with developing procedures and controls with associated documentation
- Fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that encourages an appreciation of diversity, cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working together effectively to enable each employee and the department to achieve its goals
- Communicating in a friendly, helpful and non-prejudicial manner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders as you are a representative of your department as well as the Group and therefore expected to behave accordingly
- Undertaking and passing all necessary training in line with the requirements of the role
- Adhering to all Tradition policies and applicable legislation
- Any other duties reasonably requested

**Key skills, experience and competencies required in this role**:

- Strong knowledge of fixed income products and settlements
- International and domestic settlements market knowledge
- Experience within an Operations team
- Understanding of settlement deadlines across all markets that are relevant
- Able to work under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines
- Understanding settlement disciplines as part of CSDR and CREST regimes
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Knowledge of clearing systems and other related IT tools
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE in Maths and English desirable)
- Excellent Time Management skills
