About The Role:
We are in search of a hands-on Purchasing Specialist to spearhead our procurement
actively executing tasks and processes, nurturing supplier relationships, achieving optimal
operational efficiency, and playing a pivotal role in our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead purchasing and inventory control initiatives.
- Issue purchase orders aligned with customer order velocity.
- Expedite orders and collaborate with suppliers to guarantee timely, complete deliveries; devise
contingency plans as needed.
- Forge and nurture productive supplier relationships; addressing order, delivery, and invoice
discrepancies.
- Manage supplier pricing data, undertake cost-reduction projects, and negotiate optimal prices with
suppliers.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and safety stock levels for primary product lines, improve stock
rotations and gather ageing metrics.
- Assess product quality, timeliness of delivery, and other supplier performance metrics.
Skills/Knowledge:
- A proven track record of 3+ years in procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a nuanced understanding of market dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for adept data management and insightful analysis.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration prowess.
- Detail-oriented finesse and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
