Night Porter

The Craigie has a fantastic opportunity for a Night Porter to join our team.

Based in Penicuik and Sister venue to The Papermill in Lasswade, The Craigie is an all day venue, serving great food and drinks in our bar and restaurant.

With 16 bedrooms and an internal private area for events up to 120 and you have an aspirational dining and entertainment experience throughout

We are looking for someone with a passion for hospitality, but above all else and most importantly, someone who will provide a warm welcome and great service to all our hotel guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for overall security of hotel on the night shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including restrooms, lobby, and customer areas.
- Ensure all rubbish is removed and floors are kept clean and dry.
- Assist guests with enquiries and provide exceptional guest services.
- Monitor and address any safety hazards throughout the property.
- Support other departments with various tasks as needed - such as setting up / breaking down for events in our Function Hall.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
