**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- To support the delivery of the Council’s legal, statutory and regulatory obligations relating to arboriculture and hedgerows, and to plan and organise work programmes accordingly.
- To make, confirm, review, amend and revoke Tree Preservation Orders in accordance with legislation, guidance and Council procedures.
- To investigate High Hedge Complaints in accordance with legislation and guidance.
- To represent the Arboricultural Team and the Council, and provide best-practice and risk-management advice on matters dealt with by the service area to Council colleagues, the public, and external agencies or organisations.
- To undertake work as required to investigate and respond to complex queries and escalated complaints as instructed.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to minimum Level 5 Arboriculture standard or equivalent work experience.
- Professional membership of a recognized arboricultural organization.
- Lantra Professional Tree Inspection or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license, access to vehicle insured for business use.

**Contract**
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Flexible working/home working is available 40% work in office)
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Inital 8 month Contract
