Garden Centre Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Garden Centre Assistant ideally with a varied knowledge of gardening, plants and with previous retail experience.

A hands-on individual with excellent communication and customer service skills you will be receiving deliveries, pricing up stock, assisting customers, processing sales at till, maintaining plants, watering, providing advice to customers and contributing to projects. Whilst a knowledge of plants and gardening is not essential it is desirable and an interest in gardening and a willingness to learn is a must This position also involves heavy lifting. Shifts are on a rota basis working weekdays and alternate weekends.

Responsible for:
Plant care and maintenance, receiving deliveries, creating product displays, pricing up products, assisting customers with plants selection and other queries, Processing sales on till.

Using, maintaining and storing tools and equipment in an appropriate condition and in accordance with any training and instruction given.

To be successful in this role you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude to your work and be able to work well with other members of our team. This position would suit a multi-skilled person with excellent communication skills.

Communicate with fellow work colleges with a professional manner.

Key skills

Previous experience in similar role would be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
