**Our Submarines Business**

Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.

The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.

Dreadnought is the successor to the Vanguard class of nuclear deterrent submarines. We will deliver four submarines to the Royal Navy, with the first submarine entering service in the early 2030s. Dreadnought is widely considered to be one of the world's most complex engineering challenges.

**Solution Analyst - Solution Design**
Would you like to work with a highly complex product and work with the tools that enable this product to be built? We currently have a vacancy for an Solution Analyst at our site in Barrow-In-Furness.

**Your main responsibilities as an** **IM&T Practitioner - Specialist & Combat Architect **will involve**:
Working closely between the Engineering functional teams and IM&T

Collaborating with the IMT Specialist Product Manager to document any capability gaps and risks and ensure they are in the Submarines investment plan, supported by a work package definitions and investment cases.

Managing and planning against solution obsolescence will be a key part of the role and liaising with software suppliers on their Product Roadmaps.

Being involved in the architectural analysis of change requests raised by the business.

Providing analysis that will result in recommendation and impact assessment.

**Your skills and qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Business Analysis experience.

**Beneficial**
- Experience with Engineering Applications. Such as Calculations and Analysis software.
- Ability to create and deliver comprehensive presentations.
- Experience of creating strategies and roadmaps.
- An understanding of Engineering Concepts
- JIRA and Confluence software

**What we are looking for in you**:
You should have high level communication skills; with excellent Stakeholder engagement and management skills. You must have excellent presentation ability, both verbal, written and visual.
