Branch Apprenticeship

Joining our friendly and hardworking team as a Branch Apprentice, you'll be on the front line dealing with orders, deliveries and stock coming in and out of the business. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.

What will I be doing?_**

You’ll be based in our Warehouse, to start with then moving on to discover all other aspects of our business. But not one day is the same here at BSS, here are a few pointers as to what it may look like:
- Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.- You will be based in our Warehouse, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.- Getting stock ready to be collected and delivered.- Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

For this role you will be joining the team in BSS Luton. This is a well established team of 19 (soon to be 21) and a competitive branch where they deal with a lot of customers in a day. Joining this team you will be placed in a fast paced environment and will be at the forefront of our business with this customer facing role. With a trade counter, sales office and full warehouse, tool hire and 6 vehicles the branch is booming with opportunities. The team is very friendly and has hundreds of years of experience between the staff members in the team, however a few members with little to none who have been taken under their wing. They strive to make sure their service is the best in town. With local competition we are looking for somebody who can bring enthusiasm and drive to our warehouse team to make the branch complete. With our very close knit team and loyal customer base this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door. Experience with customer service or multi drop driving is not necessary if you have the right attitude towards our branch culture and safety

How will we support you?_**

Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Level 2 Trade Supplier course, a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you tools to be successful in your role. Over your apprenticeship, you’ll explore our safety culture, the products we sell, the services we provide and understand more about our customers.

Through 1:1 coaching and mentoring, you’ve got a fantastic support network that will support you, not only through the apprenticeship programme, but your day to day development.

Over the year, you will build the foundations for your future career as well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification. With apprenticeships covering 90% of our roles, there’s also multiple development opportunities to fast track your career within our Group.
