**What you’ll be doing**:

- Developing and delivering defined work packages, tasks to cost, schedule and quality targets
- Monitoring and reporting project performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality objectives
- Leading problem-solving sessions to pro-actively overcome project issues
- Establishing & maintaining customer/supplier relationships ensuring regular communications & managing expectations
- Taking responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities to the benefit of the work packages and tasks
- Ensuring that work packages and tasks adhere to the Operational Framework and Lifecycle management mandates
- Supporting the creation of proposals for follow on tasks and work packages

**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**
- Previous experience in managing or coordinating discrete tasks or work packages (professional or personal)
- Awareness or experience in project management disciplines such as planning, scheduling, monitoring & reporting
- A desire to learn and develop working in an agile team

**Desirable**
- A background in defence
- Experience of working in an engineering or support environment would be beneficial but not essential

**The Weapons team**:
Would you like the opportunity to work with Weapon Systems products and services across all phases in its life cycle? As a Project Professional, you will be responsible for the management, coordination and execution of a number of tasks or work packages and will be reporting directly into the Project Lead.

The breadth of projects includes, bidding and execution of UK MoD, US DoD and other international customers funded work packages, internal development projects, internal process development and/or improvement projects. As part of the team, you will be interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders, including both customers and senior members of the organisation, to ensure tasks are delivered successfully to meet the business’s commitments and wider business objectives.

The Weapons Team will provide you with access to network across all levels of the business, and the ability to develop your skillset and gain qualification.
