Twickenham, United Kingdom Roots&Berries Full time

We are recruiting for a **Café Porter** to join our lovely **Stables Café Team **on a permanent basis, in the historic and beautifully green surroundings of **Orleans House Gallery, on Twickenham Riverside.**

We are looking for a true team player who can take initiative and has the desire to learn too. Good communication skills, being **happy to 'get stuck-in' to support the whole team** and having a positive outlook are the backbone of this role.

We know hospitality can be demanding at busy times, but you will be working in a supportive and friendly environment and there is the **opportunity to gain further skills **as part of your role and grow with our business from there. Please read more about this below.

**About Us**

**Roots & Berries** is an independent family run group of unique cafés in beautiful locations. We run cafés in some of London’s most treasured neighborhood spaces, including The Skylark Café on magical Wandsworth Common, The Tea House in Bishop's Park, Fulham and The Songbird Cafe by the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth.

**About You**

As part of the Roots & Berries family, we always pull together with smiles on our faces. It is important for us to have a team who have a **friendly nature, a can-do attitude, and an eye for detail.**

Although experience in hospitality is desired, there is always room for us to commit to teaching you what you don’t know.

**Key tasks and duties within this role**:
Being fully responsible for the washing up station, clearing and cleaning customer areas, being warm and welcoming to every customer, deep cleaning of the kitchen, basic food preparation tasks, helping with setting up our outdoor courtyard area in the morning or with the storage at night. Please note that there will be some heavy lifting involved.

**Training**:
During your onboarding we will provide you with a license to fulfill your Level 2 food hygiene training materials, along with COSHH and Allergen training, all of which lead to a qualification for you to keep.

As time goes on there will be the opportunity to gain customer service and till operation skills and to gain further food handling and preparation skills. For anyone showing an interest and their potential to do more, there also will be opportunities to do barista training with us and our wonderful coffee partners at Artisan Coffee School, after your first 6 months in the job

To apply, please send a covering note and a CV if possible

We look forward to hearing from you
