**Specsavers Hearcare - Trainee Audiology Practitioner**

**(Requiring course work and study to qualify as a Practitioner)**

**We are looking for someone who is interested in hearing and audiology and is keen to assist our patients with their hearing journey with us including**:
**- triaging patients**

**- booking appointments**

**- undertaking initial hearing assessments**

**- cleaning and repairing hearing aids**
- **undertaking wax removal**

**This is a roving role that in time is likely to cover our 6 stores across West Sussex; (Horsham, Crawley, Horley, East Grinstead, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath).**

**You must be able to drive and have a car to travel to these sites.**

**Salary: £25,000 with monthly individual performance bonus for Trainee. (If you are a qualified practitioner slalary will be based on experience and competencies )**

**This is a trainee role so you will need to undertake the following courses to become fully qualified..**

**- Triage and Repair**

**- Hearing Aid Fitting**

**- Wax removal.**

**The training includes working under a supervisor, taking some course work online and then travelling to our college for practical work and tests. The completion of these courses course will allow you to take up the role of Practitioner and will attract an increase in salary once you are passed as competent in all the competencies.**

**Experience and Expectations**

**- Experience in customer and /or patient care.**

**- A careful listener able to discern what a patient needs.**

**- Efficient in managing tasks and time.**

**- Detailed and accurate note taker**

**- Comfortable using online systems and data bases.**

**- Coherent and able to explain our products and services clearly and succinctly.**

**- Happy to work within our guidelines, following our procedures and processes.**

**- Enthusiastic about learning and undertaking the courses required.**

**- Dextrous and comfortable working with small tools and hearing aids.**

To secure this role you will need to evidence experience that demonstrates that customer care and personal attentiveness is part of who you are. You will be happy working with and cleaning and repairing small hearing devices and equipment to assist our customers.

You will be friendly and care about our patients and must be willing to undertake wax removals with care and consideration for our customers. You will work in a busy environment and need to manage appointment times carefully, so your diary runs on time and each patient is given the time they need. You will need to manage your patient records and notes on our system ensuring work is accurate and detailed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
