Support Worker (Reablement) - Barrow-in-Furness

**Hourly Rate**: £12.11 - £12.53

The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

A market supplement of £0.72p per hour is also attached to this role and is included in the advertised hourly rate. This will be applied to both your basic salary and to any additional hours.

**Location(s)**: Support at Home Service covering Barrow-in-Furness

**Available Hours**: We have a range of contracts available from 18hrs to 36hrs. Support at Home is a 365 day a year 7 day a week 24-hour service. This will include weekend and Bank Holiday rotas. Typically our shifts run between the hours of 7am - 10pm.

Local Government Reorganisation
Local Government in Cumbria has changed. The current six district councils and Cumbria County Council have now been replaced by two new unitary authorities - Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council.

We have opportunities for caring and compassionate people to join our Cumbria Care team in Barrow-in-Furness as Reablement Support Workers.

Our Reablement Team work with people who have been identified as having reablement needs to enable them to achieve identified outcomes; supporting them to retain as much independence as possible and remain living within their local community in their own home environment.

About the role
As a Reablement Support Worker your role is to enable individuals to remain in their own homes supporting their recovery after a stay in hospital.

You will get the opportunity to know people individually supporting their recovery and wellbeing providing physical and emotional care whilst assisting them to remain as independent as possible within their own homes ensuring that reablement outcomes are met in accordance with their person centred strength based reablement plan.

No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will help and support you with fully paid training and development - we are looking for the right people with the right qualities. **Due to the nature if this role there will be a need to respond to service users who will not always be accessible via public transport; therefore there is a requirement to travel independently via a motorised vehicle**

DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Adults Barred List check.
