As a People Assistant, you will support a wide range of activities inside our People Department; you will act as the liaison between the department, managers and colleagues in relation to various administrative tasks and queries.

**Duties and responsibilities/What you’ll be doing**

As a truly generalist role, you will have responsibility for all aspects of the HR remit, we anticipate the day-to-day responsibilities will be:

- Carrying out the administrative process for new hires in a timely manner and in line with the company recruitment policy. This includes offer letters, contracts of employment, obtaining references, undertaking DBS checks and any other compliance required for our services.
- Providing full administrative support for all employee changes that require documentation.
- Confidently and responsively handles day-to-day employee queries, progressing to People Director when required.
- Maintaining appropriate and compliant filing and tracking systems for all HR documentation on both BrightHR and SharePoint.
- Contributing towards departmental projects.
- Ensuring any data being retained is up to date and accurate and held in compliance with GDPR requirement.
- Updating systems such as My Learning Cloud and providing support in the absence of the Training Coordinator.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an HR role.
- Ideally completed or working toward Level 3 CIPD qualification.
- Hardworking and enthusiastic.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Team player.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Understanding of Safeguarding, and reporting any concerns where relevant.
- Efficient timekeeping.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads.
- Experience in social media would be useful for job adverts but is not essential.
- Good attention to detail.
- Flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills.

**Other Information**
- Whilst remote working can be accommodated on occasion, this role is predominantly based in our Stockport office.
- Travel to our services across Greater Manchester will be required on occasion, therefore a full UK driver's license with access to own vehicle is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £18,980.00-£23,726.00 per year

Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
