**Southill House - Personal Assistant**

**Introduction**
Located south of Bedford, Southill House is a Grade I listed property which is the private home of the
Whitbread family. The house sits within 600 acres of registered parkland and forms part of the wider
Southill Estate. Mr and Mrs Whitbread seek to employ a part-time (12 hrs/wk) Personal Assistant to support their private secretarial and personal administration needs.

**Job Title**:Personal Assistant

**Reports to**: Mr and Mrs Whitbread

**Job Purpose**:

- To provide comprehensive confidential PA and administrative support to Mr and Mrs

Whitbread.
- To provide first-class representation for the family when interacting with acquaintances and visitors alike.
- To manage efficient administration processes and support development and implementation of enhancements.
- To interact effectively with individuals of all spheres, promoting a helpful and professional image for the Southill Estate.

**Tasks**
- Diary management - booking appointments/meetings & venues, etc.
- Drafting letters and invitations and collating RSVPs.
- To undertake ad hoc requests for event management.
- Create presentations, take minutes and transcribe meetings.
- Arranging/coordinating family travel requirements.
- Assisting with personal finance arrangements (e.g. household procurement requirements, payments & petty cash).
- Create, update and maintain reports, spreadsheets and correspondence using a variety of packages including Office packages and other databases.
- Create, organise and maintain an effective filing system and maintain/procure stationary stock.
- To handle ad hoc projects, and attend to domestic errands when required.
- Liaise effectively with the wider Estate administration team.

- MS Office & MacOS familiarity
- A smile and a sense of humour

**Terms**:This is a part-time position of 3 mornings per week for which salary will be commensurate with experience.

**Salary**: £6.70-£18.05 per hour
