The HSEQ Lead operates within the Bell SI business and is responsible for leading compliance to Health & Safety and Environmental standards and providing best practice guidance regarding the health and safety of Bell’s employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead Health & Safety and Environment in the business.
- Day-to-day management of two auditors (primarily focused on EHS).
- Represent the EHS function during external audits with certification bodies, and also with customers or suppliers.
- Collate information to monitor delivery against agreed KPIs and corporate objectives.
- Develop positive and proactive business relationships across the business, and with other stakeholders as required.
- Integrate with departmental heads and work to support local needs and objectives.
- Develop, maintain and update Health & Safety and Environmental policies and processes where required.
- Support the development of risk assessments, monitor implementation and identify areas for improvement.
- Collate and present data for the quarterly ISO Management Review with the Bell Executive Team.
- Support and facilitate delivery of the HSEQ Improvement Programmes across the business.
- Provide strong leadership and support to help identify and achieve Bell’s CSR goals.
- Coordinate effective proactive and reactive HSEQ communication within the business.
- Share and promote lessons learned throughout the business.
- Maintain a knowledge of any amendments or changes to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 which may affect company certification.
- Attend and work from Bell sites (particularly higher risk sites) on a regular basis to encourage a robust safety culture.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years experience as an EHS Manager
- Excellent knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards
- Experience in managing a small team
- Must have minimum NEBOSH National General Cert in Occ H&S
- Ideally have NEBOSH or IEMA qualification in Environmental Management or working towards
- Experience and understanding of ESOS, SECR, waste management and environmental permit requirements.
- Experience/qualification in internal audit.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident to create & deliver training and presentations (inductions, toolbox talks, departmental)
- Excellent skills in report writing and process and procedural documentation.
