We are a local manufacturer specialising in toiletries and cosmetics. As our production output continues to grow we need a skilled and enthusiastic machine setter to help us keep all of our machinery running as efficiently and as effectively as it can. You will work closely with all of the production team and will fulfil an integral role in keeping the show on the road

- Monitor tool life and take responsibility for tool change and resetting. Keep detailed inventory and maintenance log.

Ability to monitor machines performance and identify/diagnose problems in order to take appropriate action. (Fault finding).

Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practise good housekeeping.

Perform machine set up; calibration; cleaning before the start of the production cycle.

Participate with operators to fault find and carry out line adjustments.

Assist in the effective implementation of the production plan within the company by conducting machine change overs where necessary.

Communicate any process or machine issues to the Management Team.

Recommend to Management Team improvements that may be required in respect of productivity and efficiency of site.

To safely prepare tools - locate, load, connect and setup.

To setup machine presses using standard moulding principles.

Complete all daily machinery standard checks; ensuring all documentation is completed relating to safety, performance, availability and quality requirements.

Perform light maintenance on any equipment; pallet trucks; ladders etc. Assist with general DIY activities.

Assist with stock checks as and when required.

Skills we want:
Previous machine set up & operating experience

Ability to make timely and well-engineered resolutions to breakdowns providing a solution-focused approach

Strong attention to detail

Competent to replace parts and rebuild successfully.

Office 365 working knowledge

Strong communication skills

Understanding of Health & Safety and ISO Quality requirements with a production environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £27,000.00 per year
