Kennel Assistant

The role entails the care and welfare of the dogs boarding with us, which includes cleaning, feeding, exercising, administering medication and maintenance grooming.
Part time position starting with 2 hours per day either mon - fri or over the weekend.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide daily care and for dogs in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Daily deep clean and sanitize kennel areas, including cages, bedding, and common areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and any observations or incidents
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and basic care practices
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Note: This position may require heavy lifting at times, as well as flexibility in working hours including weekends and holidays.

- Kennel Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Deep Cleaning Kennels: 1 year (preferred)
