**Overview**

A UK leading manufacturing business are currently seeking an Expeditor to join their team. The business is undergoing rapid expansion due to increased sales.

**Main aim of job**

**Job** **Profile**:

- Placing purchase orders as necessary and maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Produce and manage Supplier orderbooks.
- Follow up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate the status of orders with internal customers
- Interpreting shortage reports to identify future shortages
- Update Purchase Orders with supplier order confirmation.
- Maintain confirmed delivery dates within our ERP system.
- Work with vendors to determine a reasonable rate and to coordinate the timing and means of delivery
- Handle any related to vendor service, such as poor product quality or delivery delays
- Coordinating with subcontractors, maintaining schedules for each ongoing project
- Performing clerical duties, maintaining accurate records and adhering to established procedures, policies, instructions and guidelines
- Managing specific suppliers, placing, progressing, and maintaining orders with documented evidence
- Raise and amend purchase orders as required
- Provide additional cover within other areas of the department during holiday/busy periods.

**Core skills**:

- Experience of expediting in the manufacturing industry
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills, both internally and externally across all levels
- Microsoft Excel/ Word and Outlook office skills
- Ability to work under own initiative and within a team when required
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel and MRP system (Ideally Business Central)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bradford, BD4 6SF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Expeditor: 5 years (required)
- Purchasing: 2 years (required)
