**Portsmouth (Various) - Special Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants - Fulltime or Part time**

We require more staff with a special needs experience for live vacancies and upcoming roles in various locations across the Greater Portsmouth area. These roles are focussed to support individual or small groups of pupils that need support to manage theiremotions and behaviour in school. For many children, this is an essential lifeline for their education as it becomes increasingly more common for Special needs children to be placed in mainstream environments.

**What would I be doing?**

Your job is to essentially help the pupil, help themselves This requires building trust and understanding with the pupil as an individual, so that they can thrive academically, personally & emotionally. You will need to work in tandem with the Teacher totailor class tasks to the child’s needs, to spot frustrations, find calm solutions & on the spot problem solving. You will more than likely also work with the other pupils, provide you a wealth of experience and the class a safe, engaging and suitable learningenvironment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
