Sirona Care & Health is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team on a temporary basis. This position is available from the 14th of February 2024 until the 15th of February 2024, covering the night shift from 19:45 to 07:45. As a Band 3 HCA, you will be based at the Kingswood Civic Centre in Bristol. This modern and well-equipped facility offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Your role as a temporary HCA will be varied and rewarding. You will be responsible for providing essential care and support to patients, assisting with their physical and emotional needs. This may involve helping with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and repositioning of patients. You will also be responsible for observing and reporting any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities:

- Assisting patients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Supporting patients' mobility and independence by assisting with transfers and providing walking aids when necessary.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administering medication and recording information accurately.
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals, as well as feeding patients if required.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients by maintaining hygiene standards and reporting any hazards or concerns.
- Updating patient records and communicating relevant information to the healthcare team.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a similar setting.
- Appropriate NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A flexible and adaptable attitude towards working hours and shifts.
