We now have a new opportunity within the Rolls-Royce Submarines Security Department, based at the Raynesway site at Derby, for an IT Security Officer (Compliance) to support the growing Submarines business, within our UK Defence Sector.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the IT Security Manager, the IT Security Officer (Compliance) and will undertake a range of IT Security governance and assurance activities, with the following primary responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain IT Security policies, procedures and standards that are compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor the business IT infrastructure for compliance with policies and procedures, identifying and managing any risks and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas of weakness or non-compliance and recommend solutions to address these issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards and ensure that the business is compliant with any changes to these requirements.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

- Have experience in IT Security compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports and be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge of IT security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials +.
- Be able to analyse complex IT systems and controls to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.
