Are you in need of extra cash on the side? Are you a night owl with a passion for helping others? Do you have the strength and compassion to support someone during painful muscle spasms, seizures, and moments of confusion? Join our exceptional team as an Emergency On-Call Care Assistant.

Job Details:
I’m in my late 30's, disabled with a neurological condition and in need of support in all aspects of daily life such as cooking, cleaning, general housekeeping and some personal care. I have an existing team of exceptional care assistants providing round-the-clock care to myself, but emergencies happen, and we need YOU as our backup support.

Your role will be to arrive to my house within 15 minutes of being called for on-call emergencies during nights when I'm having muscle spasms or on going seizures and ensuring my safety, comfort and well-being. On rare occasions I may be able to give 1 to 2 hours notice, as unfortunately illness and seizures cannot be scheduled

*Responsibilities*

Available between 11pm and 4am, able to reach my address within 15 minutes when called upon. My house is a 10 minute walk/2 minute drive from Asda on Oriental Road.
- Hours needed to work will vary
- Be available for extra scheduled shifts between 8pm and 11pm, supporting my day to day needs
- Provide massage during painful disabling muscle spasms (easy to learn)
- Assist during seizures and stages of confusion with empathy, calm and patience
- Requirements *:

- Full Covid vaccination to ensure my safety
- A DBS paper certificate, can be old
- Proficiency in providing therapeutic massages
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to unique care needs
- Valid driver's license and car for quick response (Or a fast walker who lives very close to me)
