Attendance Lead

Principal Resourcing are actively looking to recruit an experienced individual for the above role, on the behalf of one of our **Secondary** schools based in the BD3 postcode of **Bradford.** This role will be to start **March 2023** and consist of **37 hours per week, for a permanent position**. The main purpose of this role is to be the _first point of contact for families, external agencies and within school for all issues associated with attendance._ The ideal person will be **compassionate** and be able to offer support as well as **challenge punctuality/attendance.**
**Pay: £31,090- £33,623**
The secondary school has been on a "remarkable" improvement journey over recent years and even been accredited as a "World Class" school in 2018 and "Secondary school of the year" the following year. They are proud of their excellent student behaviour and highly dedicated staff members across the school.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Maintain an accurate school register of admissions and attendance and ascertain reasons for absence with each student on a daily basis in line with GDPR legislation
- Provide a daily overview of attendance by tracking & monitoring
- Support the Pastoral and Safeguarding teams on statutory action and Trust policy in relation to non attendance and education welfare
- Support the date manager
- Work with members of Pastoral in implementing the attendance strategy for improving attendance
- Track students who are repeatedly late and challenge them on the reasons
- Liase with parents and Pastoral with internal truancy
- Prepare documentation for court proceedings
- Support and contribute with internal meetings for areas of concerns
- Make an education contribution at case conferences, multiagency meetings and any other meeting with respect to attendance and punctuality data
**Essential Criteria**:
- GCSE English and Math's (A-C) or equivalent
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- 2 years administrative experience
- Ability to use MS Office including Word and Excel
- Experience of working with Management Information Systems
- Ability to extract and manipulate data for analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone and face to face
