Summer Trek Leader

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Summer Trek Leader to join our team and lead exciting horseback riding adventures in the beautiful surroundings of the Brecon Beacons. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work with horses, explore nature, and create memorable experiences for our riders. If you have a passion for horses, excellent communication skills, and a love for the outdoors, this role is perfect for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead day and half-day treks into the breathtaking Brecon Beacons, providing guidance and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of riders.
- Conduct hour rides around the farm, showcasing the scenic landscapes and natural beauty to riders of all experience levels.
- Conduct 20-minute rides in the riding school, providing basic riding instruction and guidance to beginners.
- Perform general yard duties, including feeding, grooming, tacking up, and maintaining the health and well-being of the horses.
- Communicate effectively with riders, ensuring clear instructions and providing assistance when necessary.
- Create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere during treks, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the safety of riders and horses at all times, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in horseback riding and handling horses.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with riders and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to lead and guide riders of all experience levels during treks and riding sessions.
- Ability to perform general yard duties and care for horses, ensuring their well-being and health.
- Friendly and approachable personality with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members.

This is a seasonal position, running during the summer months. The schedule will include weekends. Normal working hours are 8.30 to approx 5.30.
