As a largely outdoor nursery, Squirrels Nursery and Pre-School is run from a private garden with our own yurt and classroom.
We are a term time only nursery so work approximately 38 weeks a year. The contracted hours are 28 per week; 9am to 3pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays.
You will be working outside most of the time in beautiful surroundings. We have 12 children in our setting with 4 staff or 9 children with 3 staff. We have a dedicated, warm and professional staff team who strive to do their best for the children. Owned and run by a Christian, our values reflect the highest level of care and support for all children and staff. We have very high staff retention rates.
This is a very hands-on role working with the children - the administrative duties are shared with by the owner. You will have a weekly meeting with the owner to discuss the week and suggest any changes etc otherwise you are in charge.

A temporary position as Deputy Manger is also available from now until until the end of March Salary £12 per hour the same hours as above.

COVID-19 considerations:
We have not had any covid in the nursery yet. We are working outside most of the time. We test regularly and ask parents to test their children regularly as well. We have a robust policy to ensure that children do not come in when they are sick.
