**Description**

Our client is a leading Food Ingredients manufacturer with a global presence. As a family-owned business, they take pride in their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to delivering high-quality products to their customers. With a significant focus on innovation, they have positioned themselves as a key player in the industry.

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Global Commercial Director who is also based in Klang, Malaysia, you will lead a team of commercial sales headcounts, overseeing the Asia Pacific region (excluding India Subcontinent). This role is critical to their growth strategy, with the responsibility of driving sales turnover that accounts for 50% of the entire group’s revenue. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while setting clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide guidance to the team. You will develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional revenue targets, identify new business opportunities, establish key customer relationships, and drive business growth, all while personally also taking care of a couple of countries. You will conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth, in collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, partners, and customers, while representing the company at industry events and conferences to enhance the company’s visibility and market presence. You will also manage and monitor regional sales budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, while providing regular reports and analysis of sales performance to the executive leadership team.

**Requirements**:
You will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with proven track record of at least 8 years in sales leadership roles within the food ingredients industry. You should have experience managing sales teams in a regional capacity, with a focus on the Asia Pacific market. You should come with strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and of course the ability to travel within the region as required.
