**About the role**:
You will be working in the Horticulture team, developing practical skills and a deep knowledge of horticulture and landscaping operations in the Ortus grounds maintenance team.

This is an apprenticeship post, and you will be learning whilst working gaining a level 5 then level 6 apprenticeship qualification in horticulture and going to college as appropriate.

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- All garden maintenance and horticultural duties within common and public spaces
- Lawn and amenity open space maintenance
- Identification, monitoring and treatment of pests, diseases and invasive species
- Creating habitats and increasing biodiversity
- Working to garden designers' planting plans
- Operating and maintaining machinery
- Driving company vehicles
