**Overview**:
Yeames have an exciting new field-based position available for an aspiring Electrician mate or improver to join the team. Your role will be to support the company with the electrical side of solar panel installations in Kent and surrounding areas. This is an exciting time to get into the green energy industry and a great opportunity to be able to gain valuable knowledge and experience.

**Main Tasks of Job**:

- Supporting the Electricians in ensuring that work complies with electrical and building codes.
- Helping to connect solar panels and inverters and other high-voltage equipment to the building’s power supply
- Helping to repair or replace PV-related wiring, equipment and fixtures
- Supporting in assembling, installing, testing and maintaining PV-related electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
- Helping to test PV electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety
- Supporting in planning layout and installation of PV-related electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Supporting in carrying out electrical work in the office as required

**Person Specification**

Qualifications & Experience
- GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above
- a recognised qualification such as the EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (for Electrician mate)
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent (for Electrician improver)
- EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installationor equivalent (for Electrician improver)

- Practical, hands on approach
- Willingness to develop new skills
- Enthusiastic and motivated

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year

- The role is field-based around Kent and surrounding areas. You will be travelling in the company van but will you be able to meet our current Electrician at a mutally agreed location and on occasion travel directly to sites?
