**Locum Consultant Anaesthetist**

University Hospital Hairmyres is looking to recruit a Locum Consultant with a General Anaesthesia interest. The position is available for 6 - 12 months. The appointee will take part in a dedicated general on call rota based on a 1 in 11 frequency.

The new appointee will join a department of 22 consultants. During the Covid pandemic almost all theatres changed to 2.5 session days. This may revert back to a mix of 2 and 2.5 session days, depending on specialty, in early 2024. Sessions will be made up from the following subspecialties: General Surgery, Robotic, Vascular, ECT, Orthopaedics, Trauma, CEPOD, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Gynaecology, ITU and pre-assessment. Any specialist interest could be accommodated.

The exact configuration of sessions will be determined following appointment when a job plan will be issued as part of the contract.
