Job description

We currently have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced sewing machinist to join a well established soft furnishings company in Ilkeston.

Hours:

- Monday - Thursday, 6:45am - 3:45pm
- Friday, 6:45am - 11:45am
- A high degree of machining skills, including lockstitch, overlock, welting, twin needle and top stitch.
- A strong eye for detail and quality with the ability to pattern match fabrics and ensure seam sizes are matched.
- Previous experience of using a DURKOPP Adler machine or similar.
- Previous experience of sewing upholstery including caravan seats, backrests, scatters and bolsters.
- A strong machining background with a keen eye for detail.
- Be flexible in their approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrate reliability and be able to work as part of a team.
- Committed to achieving the targets of the department whilst working safely and in full compliance with the health and safety requirements of the department.
