**The opportunity**
We’re looking for committed and focused Fire Safety Inspectors to ensure that we are compliant with our regulatory requirements. You will complete Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Testing and Fire, Health, and Safety checks around residential and commercial properties, in and around London and the surrounding areas ensuring they are full functional and compliant. You will be integral to ensuring Origin are meeting its regulatory requirements.
If you don’t currently work in fire safety and or fancy coming off the tools, we will provide you with the essential training and support you with everything you need to be an effective Fire Safety Inspector. Once you have mastered the basics, we will continue to provide you with access to training and continuous professional development.
This role focuses on site attendance to ensure works are reviewed and any urgent issues are to be reported to the relevant teams.
You will also ideally be bringing in new ways of working to ensure best practice within the compliance team, offering support and advice to the contract managers.
You will have customer satisfaction and safety at the heart of everything you do and will be able to handle complaints in a timely and well-rounded manner ensuring there is a full conclusion and that customers are happy with the overall outcome.
**What you’ll do**
**Take the Lead**
- You will test the function of fire equipment such as fire alarms, emergency lights and automatic ventilation systems, with training provided by a competent person to provide ensure testing is carried out diligently
- You will inspect fire doors within Residential homes and corridor doors ensuring
- Provide informal advice to our Residents, fire officers and maintenance surveyors to ensure opportunities to improve fire safety are not missed and that basic awareness of fire stopping/fire door principles is understood.
- Accurately record all activities on company software system including capturing photos and updating asset records.
- Produce concise reports as required for properties ensuring identified actions are completed through follow up post inspections.
- Ensure that high risks are escalated immediately to the relevant team
- Work independently and manage your own time.

**Give your time**
- To input, monitor, verify, interpret, and present asset management data to ensure it is captured.
- Work with customers to ensure they are kept updated on inspections, including ensuring visits are agreed with the customer.
- As part of providing assurance to our residents & internal partners provide reports to support assurance throughout key areas

**Bring people together**
- Support members of the team to ensure that there is sufficient coverage to ensure smooth delivery of the services.
- Liaise with contractors and ensure that requisite data is supplied for evidence of compliance through KGIs or other means.
- Respond to resident General Enquires to ensure that queries / concerns are addressed and assist in gathering information is regards to responding on active complaints.
