LNT Construction Limited, part of LNT Care Developments are currently recruiting for a Head of Mechanical and Electrical Division.
**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Head of M&E will work closely with the MD and design team to lead the overall delivery of the division across a £250m build programme across 30 locations per year. Innovation is at the heart of the role and as such the Head of M&E will be at the leading edge of thinking as we push to carbon neutral.
**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute and influence the innovation agenda in the business. Build upon our existing approaches to solar generation and power storage/electrification and ground source tech.
- Take ownership of all delivery across all LNT care home sites in the UK.
- Support, guide & Mentor Heads of Function and delivery teams.
- Ensure all staff certification is up to date and all mandatory training is completed and recorded.
- Support teams with any additional development and training as and when required and ensure accurately recorded.
- Ensure all own certification is up to date and recorded.
- Support and guide teams to make sure site is compliant and built to regulations and issued drawings.
- Update the Managing Director on a regular basis on progression of builds and any issues/escalations on sites.
- Control costs & programme, working within allocated budget for each site.
- Working with the Program Planning Manager to deliver sites on schedule. Arrange and deliver pre-start meetings. Reporting accurate progress and challenges on site.
- Regular communication with all internal teams including Procurement & Buying teams
- Close out discrepancies or quality issues in the report tracker communicating finding of reports/closing out in a timely manner.
- Ensure a robust commissioning process, thorough planning, testing and documentation. Define clear objectives. Regularly review and update the process to evolving needs.
- Facilitate regular reviews/appraisals with Site Managers.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
**Knowledge and Experience Required**:
- Knowledge of all building methods
- Previous Head of Function experience
- Proven organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to diversify, act quickly and think outside the box, without compromising progress.
- Ability to communicate effectively, pro-active not reactive
- Keep fully up to date on current regulations and any changes
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Degree level or equivalent.
