**About The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Procurement Advisor** to join our team.

As Procurement Advisor, you will effectively plan and manage the ordering process for a specific group of products within an IPL business unit in conjunction with the buying team, to ensure that the correct volume of stock is available throughout the supply chain to satisfy the Asda order.

**Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (occasional weekend cover is also required)**

**Please note that this is a site based position**

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Manage the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to maintain correct stocks levels in line with the targets set by the business
- Ensure 100% bill of materials accuracy for raw material inputs, providing visibility to other depts
- Regular liaison with suppliers, inclusive of all incoterms, to understand raw material availability vs programme and actual orders and create solutions to any issues. Escalate to the Procurement specialist/Buying Teams
- Send orders to suppliers on time, in full, aligned to category requirements and agreed timelines
- Liaison with the IPL Demand Planning Team & Produce supply team on current rate of sale vs. the collaborative forecast resolving queries in a timely & efficient manner.
- Ensure site lorry boards are accurate and planned in line with relevant site protocols.
- Effectively manage depot splits where stock is dual / multi sited and liaise with external packers as required.
- Liaise with site planners to ensure correct stock rotation and any identified issues are resolved, in keeping with age of stock targets.
- Take ownership of direct deliveries liaising with the European Logistics team to ensure 100% inbound, ensuring the most cost-effective route.
- Perform associated admin tasks to ensure system information is up to date and accurate (stock write offs, RTS, 52-week DP splits)
- Review supplier input metrics (e.g., Actual supply vs programme, number of rejections etc), escalate to procurement specialist.
- Communicate any inbound concerns to the procurement team, suggesting pro-active solutions and any on-costs.
- Support buying with additional tasks: Programme creation, data analysis, supplier reviews.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time in full deliveries of both raw materials, finished goods and returnable assets.

**What are we looking for?**
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system experience
- Previous planning experience in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office Excel Skills
- Accuracy / Attention to detail
- Effective communicator
- Ability to adapt quickly
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong Analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Willingness to expand knowledge
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths
- The ability to speak a second language would be advantageous
