Builders Merchant Internal Sales

**Tinhay Building Supplies** is one of the South West's leading independent Builders' Merchants and has built its excellent reputation over 25 years of successful trading. Operating 3 branches, with 35 staff, it maintains a large share of the West Devon/East Cornwall building materials market. Being able to compete successfully with national merchants on price, coupled with a greater flexibility to meet customers' needs, has proved to be a winning formula.

**Your Role**

Working in an internal sales role, at our Lifton branch, you will be the first point of contact for customers.

Developing strong working relationships with customers will allow you to understand their needs and best serve their individual requirements, whilst maintaining our high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.

Using your initiative, you will need to be able to identify new sales opportunities, with both existing and new customers, in order to play your part in the optimisation of branch sales.

You will report to the branch manager and will be required to contribute to the general running of the branch as needed.

**Who are we looking for?**

Someone with current or recent builders merchants experience, or who has worked within a similar sales environment.

Excellent numeracy and IT skills and the willingness to be flexible.
