**Responsibilities**:

- Perform excavation and site preparation tasks, including clearing vegetation, digging, and grading.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, such as excavators, loaders, and compactors, safely and efficiently.
- Install and maintain drainage systems, including pipes, culverts, and catch basins.
- Lay foundations, footings, and concrete slabs according to project specifications.
- Assist with landscaping and horticultural work, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Follow blueprints, construction plans, and project specifications to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Assist with tree planting and tree care activities, including pruning and removals.
- Implement erosion control measures, such as installing silt fences and erosion blankets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Groundworker, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of excavation, site preparation, drainage systems, concrete work, and landscaping.
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to ground work and construction.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses, such as CSCS (cscs required), CPCS, or NRSWA, are preferred but not required.
