I am currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school to support children with additional needs such as autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

**About the role**:
You will be required to work with small groups or 1:1, supporting children with a range of ages and levels of learning.

This SEND school is based in the Taunton area. They support diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, disabilities and challenging behaviours. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who thinks on their feet, is reliable, willing to go the extra mile and build positive relationships with students. Alongside this having a fun and energetic personality. **There is potential for this to become a permanent position.**

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

- Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
- Be enthusiastic and reliable
- Have good communication skills
- Be patient and resilient
- Hold, or be prepared to pay for an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- A genuine interest in working within a SEND school
