Customer Services Agent

**Introduction**
InXpress is a growing international express courier and freight company, reselling the services of global market leaders in the industry, whilst adding value through consultancy and first-class customer service. Due to expansion we are looking for a customer service agent to join our team in Rotherham. We act as a key link between our customers and our courier partners to ensure that our customers experience a hassle free, smooth service. They also rely on us to provide timely information and advice in addition to booking their larger consignments via the help desk.
The position will be based in our Dalton office.
**Primary Responsibilities**
Deal directly with customers by telephone and electronically.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries.
Handle and resolve customer complaints.
Proactively track shipments and liaise directly with the carriers to solve problems.
Source freight costs and provide quotes to customers in conjunction with external sales.
Pro-actively contact customers to ensure ongoing service satisfaction.
Process bookings.
Communicate opportunities, information or feedback gathered through customer contact to appropriate company staff.
Confirm pre-booked appointments and addresses for sales team
Some day-to-day administration work to aid the sales and credit control teams.
Preparing small stock orders for customer requirements
**Knowledge & Skills Required**
Confident and well spoken
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Able to build rapport with customers over the telephone
Able to work as part of a team whist showing initiative
Able to handle complaints, even in challenging circumstances.
Ability to juggle and prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
Strong IT skills, being competent in Windows 10/11, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Previous courier or freight industry experience is an advantage, although not essential as full training will be given.

Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £11,000.00 per year
