The young people who live with us have had childhood trauma, are struggling with their mental health, or both. You’ll support them as they work through difficult issues. You’ll take them to school and support them with day to day activities. There's also days out

This job has its challenges, and you'll need to support the children consistently. We'll give you all the training you need. There will be tricky days, but the good days make it worthwhile. And you'll have a supportive team around you too

A day in the life of working at Priority Childcare includes:

- Providing high quality care to the children and young people we support;
- Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;
- Being a positive role model;
- Promoting independence by supporting a range of social, school and work-based activities;
- Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs;
- Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise;
- General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

You’ll need:

- A can-do attitude, resilient nature;
- Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
- To hold a current valid driver’s license;
- Compassion and empathy;
- Good communication;
- The ability to work flexibly
- To be reliable.

In return, you’ll receive:

- An annual salary of £25,206 per annum based on 39 hours per week, and an average of 2 sleep ins per week.
- Full, paid induction programme, DBS and Social Care Wales registration;
- 218.4 hours annual leave allowance inclusive of bank holidays;
- Paid training for Health and Social Care qualifications;
- Company pension scheme;
- Career progression opportunities;
- Eligibility for a “Blue Light Card” for additional discounts.
