Job Overview:

- Duties:

- Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and reconciling accounts
- Help with financial services tasks, such as preparing financial reports and assisting with budgeting
- Utilise accounting software systems (Sage) to perform necessary tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks
- Assist in the production of internal Management information to ensure the business is well informed and has robust key data presented in a timely manner. This will extend to preparing for the annual audit and being key to the audit process.
- Reconcile the Fixed Asset register on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations in a timely manner.
- Perform month end tasks, meeting strict deadlines, including reconciliation of key control accounts.
- Produce daily product Margin reports and assist with product costing models.
- Oversee VAT returns and deal with any arising queries.
- Produce Monthly Flash Report for use by the senior team.
- Assist with the production and maintenance of a rolling cashflow forecast
- Audit the Transport Register on a weekly basis and provide analysis to the Financial Controller.
- Provide cover and support to the other members of the department in all aspects of their roles, as and when required.

Qualifications:

- AAT qualification would be preferred
- 3-4 years experience within a commercial accounts environment
- Familiarity with accounting software systems ( Sage)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Preparation of Management Accounts
