**Veterinary Receptionist / Pet Care Adviser**

Ipswich Veterinary Centre and Pets Place are currently looking for diligent, hard-working and trustworthy members of staff to join their front of house team.

**Overview**

The position involves undertaking a wide range of reception, shop and administrative duties. The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar role and be confident on the telephone.

This is a busy and engaging role, so applicants will need to be able to remain calm when working under pressure.

**Role**

As a member of our team, you’ll consistently ensure that all our customers have a positive experience during every visit. Whether you’re the friendly face on the till, or advising them on the shop floor, or helping over the telephone, or sharing your animal care knowledge, or ensuring our displays are always as they should be, or stocking shelves so everything’s easy to find, you’ll be as efficient and helpful as possible, so that our customers want to keep coming back.

**Who we’re looking for**

**Working times**

Part time - approximately 25 hours per week, shifts are between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00, also working one in three weekend days.

The vacancy is based at our Ipswich Veterinary Practice. Flexibility is essential for this role, and the ability to assist with absence cover for other team members.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaising with the clients and clinical staff to ensure effective customer service
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing telephone enquiries and meeting and greeting
- Dispensing medication
- Ringing clients to obtain payment for services and products
- Cash management
- Ensuring the pet shop is clean and tidy with careful rotation of stock
- Opening and closing procedures

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
