**Teaching Assistant / Mentor (PRU) - Burgess Hill, West Sussex - 32.5 hours per week 8:30 - 3:30 - Start as soon as possible (Notice considered)**

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious Alternative Provision school in Burgess Hill. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS3 & KS4. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. The school aim to provide a caring and positive environment where all are valued and supported through a personalised curriculum which challenges and inspires individuals to achieve their potential.

**£72 per day minimum**
**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children & young people with behaviour management
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
- A thick skin, patience and resilience with very challenging behaviour
- Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
- Confident working with children & young people in Alternative Provision/Pupil Referral Unit
- Experience working with children & young people in Alternative Provision/Pupil Referral Unit (desired)

**Responsibilities**:

- Support class teacher
- Support the pupils
- Understand individual needs & adapt approach
