**Post Title**: Lecturer in History**SBU/Department**: Creative Arts/Humanities**FTE** 0.5fte (working 17.5 hours a week)**Duration of Contract**: Fixed term (1 September 2023 to 31 July 2026)**Salary**: UH7 £36,333 pro rata, pa to £39,592 pro rata, pa with potential to progress to £43,155 by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience**Annual Leave**: 35 days pro rata, plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year**Location**: College Lane Campus, Hatfield AL10 9EU-
**Main duties and responsibilities**Skills and experience required**
- You will have proven expertise in an area of History post 1500.- In addition you will also have proven experience of teaching in Higher Education. This role also requires good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and under your own initiative.- Ideally you will also have an established or emerging research profile in an area of History.**Qualifications required**
- Minimum of an Honours degree level, or equivalent qualification, along with a post graduate qualification in History teach a range of existing and planned modules in History from 1500 onwards or related discipline or a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant field**_Please view the job description and person specification for a full list of the duties and essential criteria._**:
