Starting Salary: £33,820 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £37,261 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term - 16 months

The Hertfordshire Home Improvement Agency (HHIA) has an exciting opportunity for a senior caseworker position to work in a progressive and dynamic team. We are looking to recruit an outstanding, enthusiastic and organised person, with excellent communicationand negotiation skills.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a countywide service. The applicant will need to have experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities. They will need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing consistentlyhigh quality standards at all times. The applicant will also be required to communicate with a wide and varied customer base and liaise with internal and external partners and with the various organisations involved in delivering key customer services. TheHHIA is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual with a strong customer focus.

An exciting new secondment opportunity has arisen for a full time senior caseworker position within the Agency. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the caseworkers provide high quality, effective, efficient and appropriate services to all clients andcustomers in accordance with policies and procedures and to work as part of the management team to ensure the service meets the aims and objectives of the business plan, implements the strategic vision, develops and innovates.
- To co-ordinate the workflow of casework and technical team to ensure the agency is effective in meeting its targets
- Give appropriate leadership, supervision and support to the Information & Advice Service team to execute their work effectively
- Manage your own caseload and other caseworkers in the team.
- To chair regular casework team meetings to develop services to ensure sharing of best practice and consistency of service delivery.
- Update casework service procedures and documents to ensure delivery of a high quality service.

Requirements for the role:

- General education to GCSE standard to include English and Maths at C grade or above
- Experience of advice-giving work
- Experience of delivering face to face advice and support
- Trusted Assessor trained would be desirable
- Understanding of financial assessment
