Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Rotherham Special School

Working Days: Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering effective learning activities to meet the individual needs of the students
- Supporting students with speech and language development
- Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner
- Building positive relationships with students and their families
- Participating in regular meetings with the class teacher and other support staff
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and TA's to support students in the classroom

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working with children with severe speech and language delays and challenging behaviour
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- Background working in a pupil referral unit or with challenging behaviour (preferred)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility, resilience and a positive attitude

This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible, with the potential for this position to become permanent on contract with the school. We offer a supportive working environment and opportunities for professional development.
