As Digital Curator / Assistant Editor for Curatorial Content Online you'll be responsible for planning, optimising and managing content on our national websites and other national digital platforms as required. You'll lead digital workstreams, respond to briefs, shape content, advise stakeholders and provide innovative solutions to digital content challenges from editing and publishing pages to evaluating and making recommendations for future.

The role offered on an 18 month part-time basis, for 2 days a week.

What it's like to work here:As a key part of our small, friendly team, you'll work extensively with colleagues at A la Ronde, Devon, particularly with the Project Delivery Team, with consultants, and across the whole of the National Trust.

Your contractual location will be our Killerton Hub, however the role will be focused on A la Ronde, Devon. There will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The phasing of hours is negotiable, but must include Tuesdays.
- What you'll be doing:You'll lead for online content at A la Ronde & for the A la Ronde project - gathering content, managing the planning, design & creative interpretation of this content across multiple platforms
- You'll lead on curation of online workstreams, ensuring a coherent & consistent tone of voice, visual language & design across social media platforms, existing project pages, & to lead the creation of a new online presence (the ‘Compendium’ weaving together all content streams
- You'll be the catalyst for transforming our online offer, establishing the activity, purposes & key audiences for online workstreams, curating content for those specific audiences, & weaving content into one overarching storyline
- Overall, you'll be responsible for the development & delivery of the A la Ronde online programme, ensuring an equitable alternative offer to that experienced on property, in line with funder expectations & timescales, & adhering to the values of the National Trust.
- You'll plan, optimise, evaluate and manage usable and accessible digital content and journeys that engage audiences and encourage repeat web visits, ensuring high standards, consistency, accuracy and up-to-date brand and tone of voice.
- You'll work cross-channel to ensure our campaigns are the best they can be. Collaborating and making recommendations to build compelling content journeys that help our supporters find what they need, and our internal colleagues to meet strategic and channel KPIs, interpreting analytics afterwards.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

- An understanding of digital platforms, ideally in a heritage environment
- An ability to develop & deliver a cohesive, detailed & engaging digital offer across a variety of platforms
- Strong creative & communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, influence, mentor & negotiate with confidence & professionalism
- Able to shape & deliver creative experiences online to engage visitors & build an understanding of our work, creating a cohesive visitor journey using multiple formats & weaving together into a whole
- Demonstrable knowledge of what makes a good website, including editorial style and publishing processes, with the ability to follow and uphold website best practice
- Experience using web CMS and knowledgeable about user journeys and SEO
- Able to work closely with colleagues and independently, as well as engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels across the Trust
- Excellent organisational and planning skills and be able to evaluate web content
- A solutions focus - you'll seek out solutions in the best interests of our team and the organisation as a whole
