Broadcast Radio is the UK’s leading software and technology company specialising in the broadcast radio industry. For the past 26 years, Broadcast Radio has developed and supplied systems to broadcasters around the world ranging from large commercial radio groups to schools, colleges and web radio.

Over the past few years, we have released a series of innovative web-based products to allow broadcasters to transform from traditional setups to flexible, remote solutions. This has allowed us to grow our userbase and establish new recurring revenue streams alongside our traditional operations.

**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a diligent, efficient and energised individual to join our team to oversee day to day financial aspects of the business including:

- Managing overdue invoices and issuing customer statements.
- Managing Purchase Ledger and planning / executing payment runs.
- Managing company bank accounts.
- Reconciling payments against invoices & bills.
- Other supporting administrative services.

The ideal individual will have experience working the Xero or similar platforms and will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

**Daily Responsibilities**

The role includes (but is not limited to) the following daily responsibilities:

- Bank reconciliation on multiple bank accounts including other currencies.
- Reconciliation of credit card, Paypal & Stripe.
- Setting up and monitoring Direct Debits.
- VAT submission (quarterly), making adjustments if necessary.
- Working closely with company external Accountants to make sure everything is in line including year-end preparation.
- Preparing weekly BACS as well as making single manual suppliers payments, customers refunds in GBP currency as well as other currencies.
- Customer credit checks.
- Issuing credit notes.
- Assisting sales with raising invoices and queries.
- Creating invoices for out of hours calls.
- Taking accounts related calls and payments over the phone.
- Responding to accounts related inquires.
- Adding supplier invoices onto accounting software (Xero).
- Issuing monthly statements to customers.
- Chasing overdue invoices on daily basis as well as issuing final reminder letters for payment.
- Working closely with external debt collection company as and when required.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Commercial Director and operate with the support of an external accountancy firm (as required).

**Required Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role (2 years).
- Knowledge of Xero accounts platform (or similar product).
- Good general organisational and administration skills.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of core office systems (Outlook, Excel etc).
- Excellent time keeping and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic accountancy documents (such as P&L, Cashflow etc).
