**Job Title**:Shipping Administrator (maternity cover)

**Job Type**:12 months, full Time

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm (with half an hour unpaid break)

**Salary Range**:£28,000 - £32,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

**Job Role and Key Responsibilities**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and developing Shipping Administrator to join the business at an exciting stage in its growth plans. Demand for our products and services are currently unprecedented and therefore there is substantial scope for personal development and wider experience gain.

This is a new role within the business and is a fantastic opportunity for the individual to ensure the smooth running of the order process and shipping to our international customers, proactively find the most cost effective and efficient way to export goods and obtaining freight charges and quoting these to our customers along with preparing all the documentation required.

The role’s key responsibilities include:

- Cost effective and professional shipping of consumables to our international customers.
- Co-ordination between customers, warehouse and other internal departments.
- Prioritisation of shipments and negotiating freight rates including customs and duties.
- Completing all relevant shipping paperwork and maintaining the ERP system with HS codes etc.
- Manage sales orders, shipments and monitor delivery performance to ensure a high level of customer service.

**Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required**:
**Essential**
- Good knowledge of export shipment documentation, freight charges, HS code, customs and incoterms
- Previous shipping experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Prioritisation and good organisation skills essential
- Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office and ERP system
- Full, valid UK/EU driving license.
