We are looking for experienced painters to join our expanding team. The successful individual will be self-employed and require a valid CSCS Card as well as own vehicle.
**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Surface Preparation**: Clean, sand, fill, and prime surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure a high standard of work by carefully inspecting finished surfaces for uniformity and coverage.
- **Safety Compliance**: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- **Tool Maintenance**: Clean and maintain your own painting tools and equipment.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other trades and site teams to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
- **Documentation**: Maintain records of work completed and materials used.
- **Travel**: Drive to different work sites as needed
**Experience**:
- Proven experience as a painter in the construction industry, particularly with new build homes.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to painting and construction.
- **Attention to Detail**: Keen eye for color, detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes in a timely manner.
- **Communication**: Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand, climb, and lift
**Skills**:
- Proficiency in using various painting tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of different paint types and finishes.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and surface preparation.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- **Certification**: NVQ in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
- **Cards**: CSCS Card or Equivalent
- **Driving License**: Valid driver's license.
