Yard Operative role - Full time permanent position

Our client are a highly reputable and busy plant hire company based in Falkirk, providing a wide range of equipment and machinery to clients across various industries. With our commitment to quality and excellent customer service, we have established ourselves as a leading provider in the region. We are currently seeking a dedicated Yard Operative to join our dynamic team.

As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our plant hire company. You will be responsible for the efficient handling, maintenance, and organization of equipment within our yard. This includes assisting with the loading and unloading of machinery, inspecting equipment for any damages, and preparing it for transportation to client sites.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely and efficiently load and unload machinery and equipment from delivery vehicles.
- Inspect equipment for damages or faults, reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, greasing, and basic repairs.
- Organize and maintain the yard, ensuring equipment is stored in a tidy and accessible manner.
- Assist with the preparation of equipment for dispatch, including securing loads and completing relevant paperwork.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Full driving licence is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in a similar role or within the plant hire industry is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify faults or damages.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to following health and safety regulations.
