Loudwater, United Kingdom Right at Home - High Wycombe Full time

**Job description**

**Care Supervisor & Assessor - Premium Community Care across Wycombe, South Bucks & The Chilterns**

**About Right at Home**

Right at Home High Wycombe is one of only 3 Home Care providers in Buckinghamshire to be rated by the CQC as ‘Outstanding’. We are part of a network of 73 Right at Home branches that focus on quality rather than quantity, with staff retention and support being pivotal to this.

**The Role**

As Care Team Supervisor, you will work closely with our Registered Manager, overseeing your own team of Caregivers with the assistance of a Senior Carer, ensuring they are supported and developed to be able to deliver the highest possible level of care to our private clients who live in and around High Wycombe and South Bucks.

Your days will be a blend of office-based responsibilities and being out in the community with your team, holding existing client reviews and conducting new client assessments.

**Core Responsibilities of the Care Team Supervisor**

The role will be varied, so you will need to be organised, efficient and willing to help out with whatever is required in a highly reactive working environment, as we aim to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and their families:

- Spot checks and supervisions of your Care team.
- Hold regular face to face client reviews.
- Assist with the delivery of the Caregiver Induction training.
- Regularly update client care plans.
- Mentor and develop new Caregivers.
- Conduct new client assessments and write the subsequent care plan.
- Shadow new Caregivers and signing them off as competent.
- Ensuring your Care team follows policies and procedures.
- On-boarding new clients and hand over to their Caregivers.
- Liaising with client’s family and care professionals.
- Obtain client reviews and testimonials.

**About You**

You will be calm and patient with attention to detail and a desire to ensure proven processes are followed. You will be adaptable and open-minded enough to successfully blend your current care and supervisory experience with Right at Home’s policies and methods of working.

Your personal values will be similar to our own values. You will take pride in developing those around you and will be confident enough to ask for guidance when you do not understand something, or to take responsibility if you make a mistake. Overall, you will want to be seen as a role model to your care team and indispensable to the Registered Care Manager and Director.

**Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Friendly, reliable and determined.
- Previous supervisory/management experience.
- 18 months experience delivering hands-on care.
- Hold a Level 3 QCF/NVQ in Health & Social Care or be working towards it.
- Competent computer use including MS Word, Outlook & Excel.

- Strong verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
